Russell Gera is a painter based in Red Hook, Brooklyn. While Russell Has lived in New York for over 20 years he is a Native of New Zealand and combines both of these locales as influences within his work. He graduated with BFA from the Massey School of Creative Arts, Wellington NZ in 1998. His most recent solo exhibition The distance in your eyes (2022, NY) explores conjunction of memory and abstraction of his country of New Zealand a common theme in his work.
